1972 - He begins playing guitar at 14 years of age, after having abandoned his keyboard studies.
1976 - He begins to appear in public with local groups playing various styles of music around the venues of his own city.
1979 - He founds, with other musicians, the first nucleus of the famous Italian group of the Eighties, "Via Verdi" 1982 - He abandons "Via Verdi" having decided to broaden his knowledge of Irish and American folk music, and begins studying other instruments such as mandolin, banjo and bouzouki.
1984 - He forms an Irish folk band called IRISH PUB. 1985 - He goes to Ireland for a brief period, where he has occasion to play with artists of national fame, thus improving his own musical knowledge.

1987 - From his meeting with the musician Savino Lattanzio, with whom he mixes his own experiences and musical tastes, the "OLD COUNTRY PICKERS" band is born. With this duo he has participated, and still participates, in numerous exhibitions, on the local as well as national level (rodeos, equestrian shows, country parties etc.).
1991 - In a pause from the duo, he performs as tenor banjoist with the Bologna Chamber Orchestra, directed for the occasion by the great American director Carl Davis, in a series of concerts in Italy, performing the live soundtrack during the projection of Charlie Chaplin's movie "City Lights".

1998 - He enrolls in the SIAE as author and composer and records his first CD with the Old Country Pickers duo. 1999 - He dusts off his knowledge of Celtic music and, together with other seven musicians, forms the band "The Wild Rovers", which is still active.  rick2.jpg
